On Thursday, June 22nd 2023 took place the Summer Party of L'Oréal.
This yearly event is the biggest party event in the group: the employees of all Parisian campuses can join and party from 6 PM to 2 AM. This year, several animations and atmospheres: street art, live concerts, live DJs, beach games, drag queen défilé, augmented reality walks…
Among the group's employees, we were 7 to share our DJ talents in a Silent Disco space (find the exhaustive line-up here).
What is Silent Disco, if you don't know? Well, this is a dancefloor mode where listeners experience music via headphones and not via speakers.
This experience was a premiere for me, and it was very special. Watching people dancing in a silent room is very particular and has a sense of unreality, especially when you are the DJ: the music heard out loud, which is usually the very link between you and the crowd, is missing here. Quite confusing.
